The Behmor 1600 is the only one-pound capacity home coffee roaster. When used with high quality beans, the Behmor 1600 utilizing patent pending smoke suppression technology roasts in virtually every application with no visible smoke up to second crack. It is also the only home roaster in the world manufactured with a variable speed motor to facilitate proper bean rotation, plus allow for higher, more efficient cooling and chaff removal. In addition, the Behmor 1600's variable-speed fan controls allow for optimum functionality. For Full City+ roasts, we recommend you reduce the quantity of the roast to ┬╜ pound. ********* The Behmor 1600 is not intended nor meant to roast coffee to levels known as Vienna, French, Italian or darker. Anytime during the roasting process you can easily add or subtract time or simply end the roasting process by pressing the 'cool' button. READ AND FOLLOW ALL DIRECTIONS Whether new to, or experienced with roasting coffee, start off by roasting at least four (4) ┬╝ pound batches on P1 to begin developing an understanding of the subtle nuances of roasting coffee with the Behmor. ********** NEVER START with quantities above ┬╝ when first learning the roaster !!! Adjust times as close to the following using the + or - buttons once you hear the "first" cracking sound of 1C. This allows you to more accurately control and understand where you are in a roast, especially in cases where you have a bean type that migrates from 1C to 2C seamlessly. This also helps to prevent you from over-roasting your beans. a. ┬╝ lb - 1:30 MIN. b. ┬╜ lb - 2:10 MIN. c. 1 lb - 3:10 MIN. The times shown are approximately the time it takes from start of the very first snap of 1st crack (1C) to the start of 2nd crack (2C) for regular coffee.
